The Omaha Zoo Foundation is nearing the finish line in our campaign to build a new, world-class animal hospital — with the right technology, capabilities and capacity to provide the best veterinary care possible. Our wondrous animals deserve nothing less. Help us help them. Take us across the finish line. Every donation counts!
Why we need a new hospital.
The veterinary team works tirelessly to look after the welfare of each animal at Omaha’s Zoo. The exceptional care they provide is a key reason we are ranked the best Zoo in the nation.
But the demands on our veterinary team keep growing. More animals. More diverse populations. Changing technology. The current animal hospital, almost 30 years old, has not kept pace. The new hospital will keep the Zoo at the forefront of veterinary medicine, providing the latest capabilities — and help us train the next generation of veterinary professionals. That’s why we need your help to raise the final dollars to build a new, world-class animal hospital.
The proposed animal hospital will be 32,000-square-foot facility that will meet the needs of our animal care mission for years to come.
The new animal hospital will be designed so we can perform as much care on-site — and new kinds of care — as possible.
